Can’t fight city hall, wanna bet lol

Although yesterday started with some degree of stress via work it ended quite wonderfully. It began with only some of our garbage being picked up, about a mth ago the city stopped picking it all up so after calling them they assessed that they would take 14 bags per building, this week they changed that to 14 per week which is just ridiculous considering I have 28 of 31 units rented. So this call to the city was NOT nice, I demanded and explanation as to why the issue began in the first place and why the constant changes. The said they did not know the reason but were meeting with the NEW contractor with-in the hr and would call me back. They did say that any building over 7 units is not picked up anymore but require a bin, the only reason our buildings were is that we were grandfathered in. So they called back to say that they had switched contractors and there-in lay the problem but that until the contract is settled they are required to pick up ALL the garbage we put out twice per week as by the current contract and that they must give us due notice once a decision is reached as to whether they will give us a continued “special contract” because of the grandfathering or decide no pick up at all. So apparently you can fight city hall and  WIN, you just have to be persistent  and don’t  buckle  when you know you are right.

I am catching up on laundry, and housework and planning a rather special “sampler” style dinner with chicken fingers, potato skins, onion blossoms, fish bites and what-ever else I think of along the way. Planning an evening of catching up on The Walking dead series and just totally relaxing OR poker with the guys, will have to see where the mood takes us.
